Understanding our leaderboards and weekly honours
How VIP Life Retail's rankings are compiled, and which launches receive our Launch of the Week distinction.
Updated
We present three distinct leaderboards to reflect different measures of momentum and merit within our community.
The Community board
Our principal ranking draws entirely from the votes of visitors and members. This reflects authentic community response to each launch, unmediated and unsponsored. A launch's position on the Community board is determined solely by the number of votes it receives.
The Billboard ranking
We maintain a separate paid ranking for brands wishing to secure prominent placement. Any listing may be promoted to the Billboard through a financial contribution of at least $5. These paid placements are clearly labelled as such, preserving the transparency between earned and purchased ranking.
Domain authority tracking
Our third board orders listings by their Ahrefs Domain Rating, a measure of a domain's established authority. Each entry displays the rating itself, alongside a clear indicator of whether the score has moved up, down or remained steady. The dates of the most recent check and of any change are provided, so you can track authority movements over time.
Launch of the Week
Each calendar week (Monday through Sunday, UTC) we identify and honour the top 3 launches as voted by our community. These winners receive our Launch of the Week badge, awarded automatically upon the close of voting each Sunday. We notify all winners by email, marking their achievement for the week.
Questions people ask
- What decides which launches appear highest on your Community board?
- Community ranking is determined entirely by votes from visitors and members. No payment or other factor influences position.
- Why do some listings show a paid label on the Billboard?
- The Billboard is our transparent paid ranking option. Launches there have been promoted through a minimum contribution of $5, which we clearly mark to distinguish them from organically ranked listings.
- How often are Domain Rating positions updated?
- Domain Rating checks occur regularly. Each listing shows when it was last checked and when any change occurred, so you can monitor trends over time.
